Executive Committee

MLAA is run by a General Committee consisting of 53 members drawn from civil society including cross section of people, such as, lawyers, social activists, businessmen, doctors. The General Committee elects 15 members to serve on the Executive Committee of the organization for two year terms. The committee is compromised of a President, Secretary, Treasurer and Executive members. At least two of the members must be female.

The major tasks of the Executive Committee of MLAA are:
i) Guard the purpose of the organization,
ii) Oversee the activity of the organization, and
iii) Ensure the liability of the organization to operate.

The Executive committee acts as a team of policy makers and as a whole has the authority to govern the organization.
